Hotel Eclipse -
Immersive Art Experience about how social issues affect our mental health
- CURRENTLY OPEN
Post-COVID Community Healing Challenge!
- CURRENTLY OPEN
Hotel Eclipse exhibition is based on the true story of 6 neighbours who lived through the COVID 2020 lockdown in a Melbourne hotel. It invites the audience to literally step into someone else's shoes and immerse themselves in their life as defined by the 4 walls and contents of their hotel room. Participants, just like the 6 neighbours, are likely to emerge with a new appreciation of the realities of social issues like homelessness; poverty, racism and mental health.
The exhibition is an immersive simulation experience designed to enhance the audience’s empathetic understanding of the impact of isolation, restrictiveness, unpredictability and precarious situations on mental health and how connectedness can solve these problems.
